How much loose leaf tea does it take to make a cup of tea?
To brew an 8 oz cup of tea, please use the following guideline, then adjust to taste.
White Tea - 2 tsp.
Green Tea - 1 tsp.
Oolong Tea - 2 tsp.
Black Tea - 1 tsp.
Herbal Tea - Start with 1 tsp. then increase to desired taste.
How long do I steep or soak my tea leaves?
NOTE: Over steeping will result in a bitter cup of tea.
If you want stronger tea, use more leaves instead of extra steeping. Never boil tea (or coffee).
White Tea - 3 - 5 minutes
Green Tea - 5 minutes
Oolong Tea - 5 - 7 minutes
Black Tea - 5 - 7 minutes
Herbal Tea - 10 -12 minutes
Flowering Tea - 5 - 7 minutes, or until flower has unfurled completely. Be sure to use boiling HOT water to ensure flower opening 100%.
How many cups of tea can I make with 4 ounces of loose leaf tea?
4 oz or 112 g makes about 55 cups
8 oz or 224 g makes about 110 cups
How do I store my tea and coffee?
Never keep your tea or coffee in the refridgerator or freezer. Moisture, humidity, heat and light will destroy tea, coffee, herbs and spices.
Best kept in air tight containers, in the coolest dry place in your kitchen or pantry.
